Resolution:
Now, heres how to install Firefox without using Internet Explorer:
To start FTP, click on the Start menu, then "Run..." and enter:
ftp
Then click "OK."
When the ftp> prompt appears, type:
open releases.mozilla.org
Then press Enter. You will be connected to the Mozilla Firefox FTP download site.
Note that you will need to press Enter after every command that follows.
When prompted for your username enter: anonymous As your password enter: your email address
When the ftp> prompt reappears enter these commands, one at a time, pressing enter after each one and waiting for a response from the server:
cd pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases
cd latest-2.0
cd win32
Now, to see a list of languages and countries that Firefox is available for, type:
ls
If you live in the United States or you prefer your interface in U.S. English, your next command is:
cd en-US
If you prefer another language, cd to that directory instead.
Next, to find out the name of the current version of the Firefox installer, use one more "ls" command:
ls
This last "ls" command will show you the exact name of the installer for the current version of Firefox 2.0, among other files. You are looking for the filename that ends with .exe. AS OF THIS WRITING, it is:
Firefox Setup 2.0.0.6.exe
But you need to use the ls command to see what the current version is instead of relying on this.
Next, type the command:
binary
To make sure the file is moved as a program and not as a text file, which would ruin it.
Were almost ready! But if we downloaded the file now, it would not wind up on your desktop. It would show up in your home folder instead... and you probably dont even know what that means! Fortunately, the desktop "lives" right inside your home folder, so we can use the lcd (Local Change Directory) command to go there:
lcd Desktop
Finally, were ready to type:
get "Firefox Setup 2.0.0.6.exe"
If that is the setup program name you found with the ls command.
(The quotation marks are important!)
Now: relax! The file will take a while to download. On a dialup modem it could take a very long while. Go get a cup of coffee.
When the ftp> prompt comes back without an error message, type:
quit
Close or minimize your application windows and youll find that the Firefox installation program is now waiting for you on your desktop! Double-click that file to install Firefox.
In the future, of course, you can start Firefox from the Start menu. There is no need to install it every time, and you can drag the installer to the trash can when you are completely finished installing Firefox.
Again, if Internet Explorer is well and truly broken, it is still a good idea to reinstall Windows. Your computer may have serious spyware problems that will gradually prevent other programs from working properly too. But installing Firefox by FTP can be a useful workaround in the meantime.

You probably have an Internet connection problem which has nothing to do with your web browser. Double-check your connection to your Internet Service Provider.

Files with .crypt extension are encrypted by ransomware from the Ransom:Win32/Troldesh family. In case you are wondering why all your files have "CRYPT" file format and you cant open them I have bad news for you - your computer is infected with ransomware. This particular ransom virus encrypts files and inserts contact information in a file name, for example !____________DESKRYPTEDN81@GMAIL.COM.crypt or !helpfiledeskript111@gmail.com.crypt. Cyber criminals give email addresses (yours might be different) and hope that you will contact them to get further information on how to decrypt your files. Thanks to our lives virtually being played out online, cyber criminals have a whole host of people to choose from to scam, phish, extort, scare and wreak havoc upon. They also employ increasingly sophisticated methods to con us out of our data, identity and money. And the myriad of applications, files, tools and programs that we are constantly downloading means they have even more ways to infiltrate our computers.
Why you need to be aware of .crypt ransomware
It is a type of malicious software that you really need to be aware of. Unlike some malware which only has one line of attack, ransomware can have a very real and detrimental effect on you thanks to its modus operandi which is to not only cause mayhem on your computer and to your files, but also to attempt to extort money from you. So how does this ransom virus infect you and what does it actually do to you and your computer?

And if that wasnt panic inducing enough, many ransomware programs also make this ransom note look as if it has been sent either by your local police force or even from a government body such as the FBI. Official wording and logos will add additional authenticity dialling the fear factor up even further. So exactly WHY is the FBI holding your data hostage? The warning will tell you it is because you are guilty of visiting illegal or banned websites, or viewing or downloading illicit, pirated or sensitive files or content. Once the fine has been paid the FBI will unfreeze your PC. Of course, your ransom note can be completely different or the particular variant that you have on your computer may not even have a ransom note. Sometimes, an email address in a file name like DESKRYPTEDN81@GMAIL.COM.crypt is more than enough.
Obviously this would cause even the most level headed among us to at least momentarily panic. Is it possible that you might have accidentally visited a website with dubious content? What about that TV show you downloaded � was that an illegal act? Chances are you dont want to take any risks � or perhaps you have recently looked at an x-rated website and are embarrassed. Should you just pay the fine and be done with it? Absolutely not! Unless, of course, your files are very important and you cant afford losing them. But its always a good idea to try a few data recovery tools before paying the ransom.
How to get my files back?
If you have a recent backup, wipe your hard disk and reinstall your files. If you dont, try Shadow Explorer program or search your computer for previous versions of files. If you are lucky enough you may find files that were not encrypted and renamed to .crypt. But before restoring your files, please remove the ransomware and related malware files from your computer. Step 1: Removing .crypt extension ransomware and related malware:
Before restoring your files from shadow copies, make sure the ransomware is not running. You have to remove this malware permanently. Thankfully, there are a couple of anti-malware programs that will effectively detect and remove this malware from your computer.
1. First of all, download and install recommended anti-malware scanner. Run a full system scan and remove detected malware.
Important! If you cant download or run it, please restart your computer in Safe Mode with Networking or Safe Mode and try again.
2. Then, download ESET Online Scanner and run a second scan to make sure there are no other malware running on your computer.
Thats it! Your computer should be clean now and you can safely restore your files. Proceed to Step 2.
Step 2: Restoring files encrypted by .crypt extension virus:
Method 1: The first and best method is to restore your files from a recent backup. If you have been regularly performing backups, then you should use your backups to restore your files.
Method 2: Try to restore previous versions of files using Windows folder tools. To learn more, please read Previous versions of files.
Method 3: Try the TeslaCrypt Decryption Tool by Cisco. Download TeslaDecrypt tool and run it.
Method 4: Try the TeslaDecoder Decryption Tool. Download TeslaDecoder tool and run it.
Method 5: Using the Shadow Volume Copies:
1. Download and install Shadow Explorer. Note, this tool is available with Windows XP Service Pack 2, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8.
2. Open Shadow Explorer. From the drop down list you can select from one of the available point-in-time Shadow Copies. Select drive and the latest date that you wish to restore from.
3. Righ-click any encrypted file or entire folder and Export it. You will then be prompted as to where you would like to restore the contents of the folder to.
Hopefully, this will help you to restore all encrypted files or at least some of them.

I recently had an issue in a clients development which required images to be embedded in html email code (<img src=cid:embeddedImage />), rather than referenced via a public url (i.e. <img src=http://www.mysite.com/myImage.png />).
QUICK OVERVIEW - THE PUNCH LINE
I have written a CodeIgniter Library Extension to the basic Email class that facilitates the embedding of images in emails. You can download the code HERE.To implement it, follow the instructions for Extending Native Libraries on the CodeIgniter website http://codeigniter.com/user_guide/general/creating_libraries.html
Finally, in the body of your email, use the following macro - making sure the class_id attribute matches the one used in the img src attribute (i.e. <img src=cid:my_image />). An exmaple message body would be as follows

PROS AND CONS OF EMBEDDING IMAGES IN EMAIL:
PROS
- Images are immediately displayed when opening a message, rather than the client prompting the user to allow remote content... great for newsletters- Emails are independent, once downloaded, they dont require a live connection to view in all their glory
CONS
- A little bit more coding and knowledge of email message format is required to get them to work if your framework does not support embedding images in email- Some conjecture about spam filtering for bulk messages with embedded images. Some believe spam filtering is more pessimistic for emails with embedded images than not when sending to more than 100 addresses

Im not going to go too far into the coding of native php code to email with embedded images (unless I get requests) - so Ill give a brief overview and some references.Like most things on the web, email message content can be defined in a series of envelopes. Bit of a warning though - the article itself has buggy code and examples.
Grossly speaking - your email message if it supports html with embedded images, and a plain text alternative (for non html email clients) should render the following content in the email body

-- means open content type. Trailing -- means closing content type. When content type is multipart, you can define more than one content type under the same section identifier as you are either specifying alternative content, or related content. multipart/alternative content means one of the specified content sections is used. multipart/related content means that one content section references the other. We use the multipart/alternative content type to specify html, and plain text message alternatives. We use the multipart/related for relating html content with embedded image content.
